About Karen Clark

Karen qualified as a professional nurse and midwife at Somerset Hospital in Cape Town in 1993. She obtained her advanced midwifery in Scotland in 1999 and has attended over 1000 births, and walked the journey into motherhood with many women.

She strongly believes that women need to be cared for and nurtured as they go through their pregnancies and births and into motherhood and that positive birth experiences should be made available to all women in both the public and private sector.
